The Biomedical Equipment Tech I is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and devices. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and safely. The Biomedical Equipment Tech I will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that patient care is not compromised.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment and devices
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy
Document all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment
Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and safely
Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient care is not compromised
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field
1-2 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair
Knowledge of medical equipment and devices
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
