The Technical Lead engages with clients to understand business objectives that need to be accomplished; assesses client’s as-is situation and future needs; uncovers root cause of challenges in client’s as-is business and operations environment; collaborates with clients (and internally) on alternate approaches; and develops solutions while balancing the needs of sales, onboarding, and delivery.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the marketing team by engaging early in the requirements discovery process to understand client challenges, objectives, and business drivers.
Use expertise to construct specific and detailed solutions encompassing consulting, business processes, analytics, and automation.
Develop a high-level plan to deliver the solution, an estimate for services, and resource requests based on role and hours per role required to implement.
Collaborate with business development to consult with clients on the value proposition of Ferrilli Professional Services with deal negotiation and closure.
Lead the solution development process; translate and communicate client requirements to various internal teams (e.g., sales to service handoff), including clients' measures of success; identify various capabilities across applications that will form the pillars of the solution.
Assist engagement managers in developing client roadmaps and proposing new value-added services.
Influence stakeholders towards achieving business goals by building consensus and ensuring understanding of technical matters by non-technical and executive decision-makers.
Assist project managers with developing detailed project schedules and tasks that align with scope and budget.
Provide oversight and input from sales to kick off and as needed on projects.
Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations and make recommendations for building out new and improved service offerings through conference attendance, industry research, and other venues.
Limited hands-on billable consulting includes, but is not limited to, participating in project kick-off calls and project discovery discussions.
Build team members’ skills through mentoring.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Minimum 10+ years of work experience in higher education solutions delivery.
Consulting or business processing-related requirements gathering, pre-sales, and contracting would be a plus
