Location: Westbrook, ME - 04092

Duration: 4 Months on W2

Shift Timings: 8 am - 5 pm

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation and Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Allen Bradley controls PLCs, Ethernet connections, FDA regulatory requirements, and validation processes. This role involves a combination of returning equipment to production through troubleshooting and emergency support, as well as working on significant projects, including the validation of new machines.

Responsibilities

• Utilize expertise in Allen Bradley controls PLCs, specifically Studio 5,000, to diagnose and address root causes of equipment issues and return machines to production.
• Manage Ethernet connections, IT, IP, and networking aspects related to automation and controls systems.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulatory requirements, change control, documentation, and validation processes.
• Lead the programming and validation of new machines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Interpret and utilize IEC and NCE documents (electrical schematics) effectively.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical) preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and emergency support for automation and controls systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
