Pay Range: $64- $67.50 -W2, no PTO or Benefits included

Primary Responsibilities

  • In this individual contributor, lab-based role, the Associate Scientist will work in a collaborative environment to perform analytics testing to support multiple Client programs.
  • This position will report to a Manager within Analytical Core with a focus on viral vector analytics.
  • The incumbent will join an analytical testing group that values data quality, high productivity, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execution of routine analytical testing including qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, molecular biology, and cell-based assays to test in-process vector samples.Execution of multiplexed cell-based assays (killing assays, mixed lymphocyte reactions, proliferation assays, etc.).
  • Data analysis and reporting with an emphasis on fast and high-quality data turnaround.
  • Partner with Method Development groups to support assay development, qualification, and transfer.
  • Develop processes and methods to improve lab execution and data analysis efficiency.
  • Timely and thorough documentation and completion of electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Author reports detailing experimental work and summarizing results.
  • Oversee inventory, quality control, qualification, and distribution of critical reagents used in routine analytical testing.
  • Track reagent usage, coordinate with internal customers, and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in a scientific discipline with 3+ years (1+ years with MS) of relevant industrial cell-based assay experience.
  • Solid knowledge of immunology and cell biology techniques and data analysis
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively work in cross functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with qPCR, ddPCR and Vector work.
  • Experience working in a self-driven, performance/results oriented, fast paced matrix environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency utilizing MS Office products.
  • Working knowledge of statistical software (R, JMP, Minitab) is preferred.
  • Able to creatively manage time and elevate relevant issues to Manager.
  • Strong scientific and technical writing and presentations
  • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work rotating offset shifts (early morning, evening and/or weekend shifts).
