Job Summary: As an Associate in Investment Banking specializing in Sponsors, you will play a vital role in facilitating financial transactions and advisory services for sponsor-backed companies. You will collaborate closely with senior team members, sponsors, and clients to execute mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and other strategic transactions. The role requires strong financial modeling skills, analytical prowess, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis, including valuation modeling, comparable company analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Prepare pitch books, offering memoranda, and other presentation materials for client meetings and transactions.
  • Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, negotiation support, and deal structuring.
  • Support the origination of new business opportunities by conducting market research and identifying potential clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and other advisors, to ensure successful transaction execution.
  • Develop relationships with sponsors and other key stakeholders to enhance deal flow and client engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel and financial analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
