What will your day look like:

  • Establish production labor standards through time studies and observation.
  • Prepare standard work, work combination tables, workflow diagrams, labor routings, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
  • Estimate new product labor costs to support Proforma process (new product requests).
  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control that identifies and leads to cost saving opportunities.
  • Lead and coach process improvement teams.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost.
  • Monitor production lines on a regular basis to ensure they follow expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding plan layouts and equipment purchases.
  • Become familiar with all aspects of the facility's operations.
  • Familiar with the concept and construction of how to set up Bill of Material, part numbers, UPC, I2o5, and all specifications for new items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

Education & Experience:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent training.
  • One to Five years of plant operations experience.
  • Blister Card Assembly/Packaging Equipment or Liquid Filling process knowledge a plus
  • Fluent computer skills in Microsoft, AutoCAD, and Solid Works.
  • Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kanban, 5S, visual control, cellular manufacturing, single piece flow along with leading kaizen events.

  • Bring forward new technical insights based upon their original ideas and create new innovative approaches to solve problems.
  • Develop skills in partnering with and coaching others.

  • Makes sound and timely decisions when dealing with uncertainty.
  • Actively contributes to the development of team goals and works toward the accomplishment of those goals.
  • Find and review all project documentation to provide recommendation for next steps.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of concepts, facts, and principles of subject matter and continues to develop expertise.
  • Uses collaborative problem-solving skills to generate solutions.
  • Simultaneously handles multiple projects and duties, prioritizing as needed.
  • Uses a variety of learning approaches, including formal coursework, reading, and on-the-job experiences for own development.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
