We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Student Financial Services, responsible for assisting the Director of Student Financial Services with overseeing the daily operations of Marymount University's student accounts, billing and receivables, and cashiering functions. Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Services, this role will also ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations, and standard accounting procedures. This role may be hybrid after a 90-day introductory period, and will have supervisory responsibilities.



An overview of essential functions, not all inclusive are:



  • Prepare and send out the notification at least four times each term regarding the bill and deadlines through email and text messaging platform.
  • Track all registration changes and withdrawals; make sure students’ account is properly updated in Colleague/Workday
  •  Prepares and maintains annual, quarterly, and monthly reports
  •  Run monthly reconciliations and ensure accurate and proper documentation



  • Manage collection progress and prepare an AR aging report
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of the s, student account representatives, and cashiers. collections specialist



  • Responsible for updating any information on students’ payment systems
  • Aid the Director of Student Financial Services in all the responsibilities of the position.
  • Ensures billing rate tables are maintained in the student information systems to ensure accurate billing.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate technology initiatives related to student financial services, including the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance and support of existing financial services technology systems, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and security.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field; at least two years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in Higher Education and student accounts; Ability to demonstrate a student centric, service-oriented demeanor; ability to effectively manage a team. Workday experience preferred, and proficiency with MS office required. Other skills include attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of finance and accounting.

May need to work extended hours during peak time periods, and possibility of a hybrid role working in an alternate work location 1-2 days per week, following a 90-day introductory period.

Marymount offers a competitive salary, in the range of $65,600 - $90,000, and comprehensive benefits including a 2% non-contributory retirement contribution, and an employer matching contribution of up to 4%; health, dental, vision, life insurance; employer paid short term disability and long term disability insurance; pet insurance, and much more!
