Associate Director, Internal Communications, Office of Alumni & Development

Reporting to the Deputy Vice President (DVP) for Strategic Communications in the Office of Alumni and Development (OAD), the Associate Director, Internal Communications plays a key role in developing strategy, tools, and tactics to support internal communications in OAD for the benefit of the University alumni relations and development staff community. As a member of the Strategic Communications team, the Associate Director, Internal Communications will be instrumental in creating and overseeing OAD’s first-ever internal communications program in close collaboration with the DVP and in partnership with the entire team.


Bachelor’s degree required. 4-6 years of related experience in communications, with a preference for candidates who have managed internal communications in a higher education environment.

Experience as a manager with the ability to motivate and drive performance with tangible goals; the ability to lead while also fostering independence and agency; and the ability to build confidence and nurture professional growth.


Salary range: $90,000-$100,000. Subject to business needs, the Office of Alumni and Development supports a hybrid work arrangement for this position. Options will be discussed during the interview process.
