We are looking for an Associate Color Technician to join our Color team in Pre-press Production. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This opportunity works with print files, corrects them, adjusts them to match customer expectations, and is involved in ensuring color is managed and maintained correctly throughout the entire file preparation and printing process.
Shift Available: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are looking for an Associate Color Technician to join our Color team in Pre-press Production. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This opportunity works with print files, corrects them, adjusts them to match customer expectations, and is involved in ensuring color is managed and maintained correctly throughout the entire file preparation and printing process.
Shift Available: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:
- a degree or certification from a Trade School or Vocational-Technical Institute
- 3-5 years’ full-time experience in a full color, Prepress department preparing files for printing
- experience in Large/Wide Format Digital printing is a plus.
- have intermediate and current knowledge of Adobe Photoshop masking and basic color manipulation tools, such as Curves and Levels.
- have intermediate level knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro, and other software required for completing job duties.
- be able to accurately complete work projects independently and also effectively work as a team with Sales, Project Management, and other staff.
- be able to complete projects accurately within deadlines while meeting Company quality standards.
- be able to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Able to be flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.
- understand and maintain confidential nature of organization, employee and customer information.
- be able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
- pay close attention to details so you are able to complete projects accurately within deadlines while meeting Company quality standards
- be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve problems independently, effectively and creatively
- apply effective time management and self-management skills
- understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
- have working knowledge of Adobe applications (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat)
- process and evaluate print files received from Customers or Project Managers.
- match color to customer specifications.
- evaluate and judge color, both visually and by the use of Spectrophotometers.
- manipulate color in RGB, CMYK or LAB color modes as appropriate.
- decide what changes need to be made to achieve the targeted color.
- ensure the file is handled correctly from start to finish according to company standards.
- receive existing print files from Prepress.
- troubleshoot problems such as poor color management, poor color match or incorrect print settings.
- solve color problems and implements corrective actions.
- perform image manipulation beyond the competency level of a Prepress Technician
- have flexibility to work extra hours on an as-needed basis to meet critical deadlines.
- use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- maintain color management processes and procedures.
- use industry measuring devices and color management software.
- perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.
- able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization
