Associate Behavioral Health Director (ABHD) Job Description
Qualifications: LCSW, LPCC, LMFT (some sites), PsyD, or PhD preferred. ACSW or AMFT may be acceptable depending on site needs/experience of applicant.
Experience: Candidate should have experience with clinical and administrative supervision, experience providing therapy, and needs to have completed BBS required supervisory course (if eligible)
Duties:
• Provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments, mental health diagnoses, treatment plans and implements short-term counseling using appropriate modalities for patients with issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, domestic violence, behavioral health problems, and psychosocial stressors.
• Provides short-term case management services for patients participating in treatment.
• As a team member, assists with crisis intervention and triage as needed. Crisis intervention includes assessment, de-escalation, and notifying the public mental health crisis response team if necessary.
• Works with team members to provide follow-up assessment and prevention planning after any crisis, including follow-up with outside agencies.
• Maintains clinical and administrative records in accordance with contractual and billing requirements
• Follows all State of California mandated reporting requirements.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to all members of BH team, including:
o All Licensed therapists on team
* Associate therapists on team
* BH CHWs
o Recovery Support Counselors
o Perinatal Behavioral Health Coordinators (effective January 2023)
• Coordinates annual chart review process for all therapists on team
• Coordinates and delivers all annual reviews for all members of BH team
