Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks an Associate in New York, New York

Review models and e-trading algorithms, and produce forecasts and analytics to improve trading, sales and client workflows. Own client-facing e-trading algorithms. Improve and build models for asset pricing, market activity, and alpha signals. Work closely with the Agency Trading desk to build new analytics tools, generate new workflows, and implement operational efficiencies.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $225,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or a related degree and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Associate, Quantitative Researcher or a related role. Requires three (3) years of experience with: SQL; Python; R; Stata; VBA; Machine learning; Data science; Data engineering and database management; Agency mortgage backed securities; Securitized products; Market structure including mortgage backed security electronic market microstructure; and Fixed income operations and settlements. Requires two (2) years of experience with: E-trading.
