Job Title: Assistant Project Manager (APM)

Location: New York, NY

Salary: $65,000 - $120,000

Job Description:

They are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support their project management team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects, from initial planning through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to grow their career in construction project management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Help manage project budgets and financials, including cost control and forecasting.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is being performed according to specifications and timelines.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
  • Support the Project Manager in client meetings and presentations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
