Huntlands Landscape Architecture is excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a new professional to help our growing firm. Huntlands has established itself in the rural areas of Northern Virginia by creating thoughtful designs and lasting client relationships. The firm specializes in all phases of high-end residential landscape architecture and select rural commercial projects such as wineries and event venues.

Job Description

 

The assistant landscape architect/designer will assist in all aspects of design, construction documentation and project administration services. Key tasks of the position will consist of site measurements, computer drafting, contractor coordination and general administrative assistance. 


Requirements

 

-       Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop & rendering software such as Lumion

-       Knowledge of residential construction methods

-       Familiarity of regional plant material and horticultural practices

-       Ability to respectfully and clearly communicate with clients, co-workers and contractors

-       Highly organized, self-motivated and ability to multi-task

-       A general love and obsession with the profession

 

Education and Experience

 

-       Bachelors of Landscape Architecture or similar

-       1-4 years of professional experience preferred

 

Compensation

 

-       Commensurate upon experienced
