About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO at an exciting and growing multi-million dollar manufacturing organization located near Aurora, IL. They are actively seeking to identify an Assistant Controller due to both organic and inorganic growth. Reporting into the CFO, this individual will focus on general accounting responsibilities, month-end close, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and plenty of special projects on a national scale!
Job Description
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in the development and presentation of financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information.
Oversee and manage the general ledger accounting functions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Manage and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in maintaining and updating accounting policies and procedures.
Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations.
Review and approve payment processing and collections activities.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
Assist in managing banking relationships and optimizing working capital.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Coordinate with external tax advisors for tax planning and compliance.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
Provide variance analysis and explanations.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven experience (2 years) in a senior financial management role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
