Scott Credit Union is looking to hire a full-time Assistant Branch Manager to join our amazing Highland branch team! This Assistant Branch Manager position works Monday – Saturday (Saturday rotation as scheduled), with varied hours and schedule depending on operational needs.

The Day to Day as an Assistant Branch Manager
Responsibilities
Assistant Branch Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of their branch and ensure the branch’s success in the Branch Manager’s absence. This includes working with employees to ensure exceptional member service is offered, members are educated on SCU products and services, tasks are completed, and the branch runs efficiently. The Day to Day as an Assistant Branch Manager
Responsibilities
Assistant Branch Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of their branch and ensure the branch’s success in the Branch Manager’s absence. This includes working with employees to ensure exceptional member service is offered, members are educated on SCU products and services, tasks are completed, and the branch runs efficiently. A typical day will look like:
- Providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous member service
- Investigating member concerns and researching and finalizing resolutions
- Developing plans and schedules for the efficient use of branch office staff, materials, machines, and technological equipment
- Carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, seeking management’s assistance when necessary
- Ensuring that all branch staff are performing their responsibilities with full knowledge and practice of compliance regulations, internal controls, and security procedures
- Setting clear expectations for employee performance and responsibilities, coordinating work and procedures, evaluating progress, and providing feedback
- Ensuring timelines and accuracy of branch reporting and assigned tasks. Reviewing and researching errors and ensuring accountability of those involved as well as recognizing training and coaching opportunities
- Coaching, leading, and motivating branch employees to reach sales/service goals, providing training where applicable
- Promoting employee participation in cross sales of products and services, including referrals to mortgage, business lending, and retirement and investment services
- Ensuring that the branch image is favorable, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employs prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members

To Be Considered, You’ll Need
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Three years of diversified experience working in a customer service environment or a financial institution
- Personal computer experience, including Microsoft Office products
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Two years’ experience providing financial services and deposit products in a customer service environment
- Loan and deposit regulations experience
- The typical pay range for this role is: $21.00- $27.50 hourly
