Area Sales Manager - Industrial Water Treatment Chemicals

International water treatment chemical manufacturer is looking for an experienced professional water treatment chemical sales area manager for overseeing sales and service of boiler, cooling tower and waste water applications in their Northeast US territory. Area manager will also oversee development of 6 junior sales people in the Eastern Ohio to Delaware territory. Company focus is on promoting comprehensive portfolio of water treatment chemicals and services to a diverse range of industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, hospitality, power, chemicals, healthcare, and paper sectors.

Specific responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the assigned district.
2. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and motivation to drive individual and team performance.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their water treatment needs and offer tailored solutions.
4. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and attending industry events to generate leads and expand the customer base.
5. Product Knowledge and Education: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and product innovations to effectively communicate the value proposition of company's water treatment chemicals and services to clients.

Company

is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications

1.4 year degree in a technical field .

2.At least 8 years of direct industrial water treatment chemical sales experience.

3.Strong mechanical aptitude

4.Proven successful sales experience

5.Prior management experience.

6.Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.

Company offers a starting salary of 140-175K (commensurate with experience) plus excellent commissions plan on new and existing business (guaranteed for first year), company car, expenses, home office (cell phone, laptop) 401K contribution and comprehensive benefits package.
