Impact Property Solutions is searching for a Branch Operations Manager who is willing to travel from branch to branch to evaluate and enhance operational systems, maintain compliance with corporate requirements, and prepare comprehensive reports and audits to monitor and improve branch effectiveness. This role will resolve emergency issues, provide training for new and existing employees, and handle service issues beyond the warehouse personnel's capabilities.

Branch Operations Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with branch leadership to create and maintain consistent operational standards in regards to all aspects of the branch operations.
  • Help identify margin leakage on materials, sundries, services, through on-going cost/sell analysis.
  • Work with General Manager to develop new product lines & pricing strategies.
  • Update usage so it can reflect properly on Excel roll counts.
  • Provide updates quarterly of most current freight rates (TQL, IEL, 7 Hills, Shaw, and Mohawk)
  • Partner with branch management to oversee the daily workflow of the branch.
  • Work with the General Managers and other branch management to conceptualize, develop, and implement new processes, or improvement of existing processes in the areas of:
  • Training/implementing cross-functionality in existing internal roles, primarily in Operations & Warehouse, potential external sales service roles.
  • Inventory Management, including but not limited to Purchasing, Stakeholder management, Cycle counts, SKU management/duplication/reduction, and Shrink reduction.
  • Support, train, and analyze sales operations, such as: Vendor Management (new + existing) to include products, freight/transportation and transition to private-label program, with custom samples/marketing.
  • Create and manage a Master Catalogue to include purchasing/vendors records, including cost comparison by segment.
  • Impact Price Programs by Management Company including estimated program time frames.
  • Assist General Manager in customizing reporting and system dashboards for all stakeholders.
  • Assist Training and implementation of new systems including RFMS, Impact Now, ZOHO CRM and other industry and company related systems.

Branch Operations Manager Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence others credibly and effectively within all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive and train proven processes from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Operational experience or an understanding of operational and P&L management.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize job duties in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Sees the big picture. Understands the goals, priorities, and strategies of the job and how they relate to our customer and can prioritize work accordingly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of operations management experience required.
  • Flooring Industry Experience a plus.
  • Inventory control experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Prolonged periods of waking and standing in a warehouse environment as well as sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
