Aerospace - Corporate Recruiter

General Summary

Under general supervision and reporting to the Recruiting Manager, the Corporate Recruiter is responsible for supporting the requests and requisitions for numerous hiring managers, manages all facets of full cycle recruiting, and plays a critical role in ensuring the organization hires the best candidates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for all candidates and recruitment resources
  • Works directly with Hiring Managers during all phases of the recruitment lifecycle and communicates updates to/from the Director of Recruiting and Executive Management Team
  • Processes new requisition requests in a timely manner, obtaining all required approvals
  • Posts open requisitions on company website and job boards via Jazz ATS
  • Determines and advises on sourcing strategies based on business needs
  • Conducts research and investigates new ideas to execute innovative recruitment strategies both nationally and internationally
  • Sources passive candidates through networks with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and internal employee referrals
  • Develops a comprehensive talent community within designated niche or functional specialty
  • Reviews all incoming resumes to evaluate whether candidates meet the requirements of the position
  • Conducts prescreening interviews and provides a detailed summary
  • Schedules and coordinates Hiring Manager interviews
  • Compiles data and provides regular weekly status updates of open positions and recruitment metrics
  • Negotiate and finalize job offers
  • Achieve personal and team recruitment targets and contribute to the overall success of the company
  • Perform wide variety of administrative tasks, e.g. faxing, copying, and preparing documents (offer letters, new hire packets, Federal/State compliance documentation, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Principles and best practices of recruiting and HR
  • Deep understanding of the US market, including knowledge of key players, market trends, and industry-specific terminology
  • Familiarity with ATS; in particular: JazzHR
  • Non-discriminatory interview processes
  • Federal and State employment laws

Skills:

  • Team player with a high sense of urgency to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Functional knowledge of all office equipment
  • Strong collaborative and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Fluent English – reading and writing is required
  • Professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to:

  • Represent the organization professionally by demonstrating and communicating strong knowledge of the operation
  • Manage talent and acquisition process with enthusiasm and accuracy from requisition initiation through onboarding
  • Effectively manage the candidate pipeline to ensure continued identification and movement of candidates through candidate relationship development and communication strategies
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities and initiate follow-up to ensure timely achievement of commitments Manage a heavy workload and multi-task under strict timelines
  • Multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and work with highly confidential information
  • Take initiative, build, and maintain strong productive relationships
  • Adapt to varying customer needs by performing a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change
  • Pass pre-hire criminal background check including drug screening

  • The work is performed under general supervision

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma, AA preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years direct recruiting experience in a manufacturing industry required
  • Aerospace and defense industry recruiting experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in a dynamic, frequently changing, and geographically diverse environment
  • Any combination of education and experience may be considered

Licenses, Certificates & Other Requirements

  • US Person
  • Valid Drivers’ License
  • Valid Auto Insurance

WORKING CONDITIONS

Productivity:
Incumbents must perform work in an efficient, effective, and timely manner with minimal direction. Mobility: Incumbents are required to participate in assigned physical activities which may include light lifting and sitting for prolonged periods of time.

Vision: enough to read printed documents, computer screens, and observe behavior of others.

Environment: Typical home office conditions, working directly with Senior Management, local and remote staff members.

Other Factors: Typical hours worked are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Incumbents may be required to work occasional extended hours.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk (approximately 1-2 miles a day); sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
