Adjunct Faculty, The Human Services Worker.

The Division of Human Services and Emergency Response Pathways invites applications for a potential adjunct faculty vacancy for the following course for 2024-2025: The Human Services Worker.

Course Description

This is an experiential course where the instructor is more of a facilitator than a lecturer. This course provides the instrument to explore and evaluate personal values, motives, feelings, needs, attitudes, interests and personality traits as they pertain to awareness which will help a human services worker; and explores personal and societal prejudices, stereotyping behaviors, and biases.

Job Requirements

  • Earned Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/ university; a Master's degree in the subject area or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Recent work experience related to the course content required.
  • Teaching experience in higher education and/or at the community college level is strongly preferred.
  • Interest in the field of human services, and specifically in the delivery of human services supports and services in the community.
  • Demonstration of an interest towards lifelong learning and effort towards enhancing clinical expertise.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.

Additional Information

SALARY: Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

STARTING DATE: The Fall session begins in September 2024
