The Division of Human Services and Emergency Response Pathways invites applications for a potential adjunct faculty vacancy for the following course for 2024-2025: The Human Services Worker.
Course Description
This is an experiential course where the instructor is more of a facilitator than a lecturer. This course provides the instrument to explore and evaluate personal values, motives, feelings, needs, attitudes, interests and personality traits as they pertain to awareness which will help a human services worker; and explores personal and societal prejudices, stereotyping behaviors, and biases.
Job Requirements
Earned Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/ university; a Master's degree in the subject area or a closely related field is preferred.
Recent work experience related to the course content required.
Teaching experience in higher education and/or at the community college level is strongly preferred.
Interest in the field of human services, and specifically in the delivery of human services supports and services in the community.
Demonstration of an interest towards lifelong learning and effort towards enhancing clinical expertise.
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.

SALARY: Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.
STARTING DATE: The Fall session begins in September 2024
