Accounts Payable Specialist

TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading global chemical manufacturing companies on their search for an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST. The ideal candidate will have at least 1.5 to 2 years of full cycle AP experience within chemicals, oil & gas, refinery, plant or manufacturing industry. An Associate's Degree is required (BA or BS preferred).

****NOTE: This role is Temporary to Permanent.****

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prepare invoice deduction notices.
• Check and approve all vouchers and invoices for payment.
• Issue and track purchase orders.
• Audit freight bills against manifests.
• Manage AP files and records.
• Communicate with vendors and answer inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and other check requests as well as provide support with resolving any discrepancies.
• Prepare AP checks.
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors.
• Run reports.
• Support with preparation of 1099s including month-end closing activities, journal entries, and bank statement reconciliations.
• Collaborate with AR team and other operational groups for any special projects.
• Must have an Associate's Degree.
• Minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of fully cycle accounts payable experience.
• Working knowledge of any major accounting ERP systems.

Schedule: Onsite

(possibility of a hybrid schedule and WFH 1 to 2 days per week after training is completed)

Salary range: $24.00 - $28.00 hourly DOE
