Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the accounts payable processes. This role involves processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, managing records, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Accurately and timely process a high volume of invoices
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure proper documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
• Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate payment status effectively
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and files
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
  
  

**Skills & Requirements:**

• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to document them as needed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to handle heavy volume ($100M+)
• Proficient in data entry with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
