Accounting Manager, Real Estate (110K-115K+Bonus), Plano

We are looking to fill an Accounting Manager position with a dynamic real estate company in the Plano area. This company is continuing to expand and diversify their portfolio, and this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations while providing strategic guidance to support company growth. This position pays 110K-115K+Bonus and offers work from home on Fridays.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of Property Accountants, ensuring efficient management of a portfolio of wholly owned office properties. This includes reviewing general ledgers, financial reporting, and monthly reporting packages.
• Manage accounting and financial reporting for external partnerships and joint ventures, reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, GAAP adjustments, and partner reporting on a quarterly basis.
• Approve calculations for tenant operating expense reimbursements, including pre-bills, budgets, annual true-ups, and accruals.
• Coordinate annual budgets and reforecasts, as well as external audits and tax returns for joint ventures.
• Prepare quarterly cash projections and conduct monthly reviews of available cash for distribution within the portfolio.
• Review leases exceeding 5,000 to 10,000 square feet and assist with prorations on acquisitions when necessary.
• Provide training and coaching to new and existing property accountants.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in GAAP accounting within commercial real estate preferred.
• Proficiency in intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards or other real estate software is a plus.
