Experienced Accounting Manger

We are partnered with an established, highly respected leader in financial services here in Tampa, FL who is searching for a skilled and dedicated Accounting Manager ready to make a leap forward in their career as this individual will have tremendous visibility with company leadership!

As Accounting Manager, you will be directly involved with preparation of annual budgets and plans, quarterly reforecasts, and comprehensive expense management. Responsibilities also encompass analyzing critical financial performance drivers and providing support to field operations teams.

Salary Range: $150,000 to $160,000 + Bonus

Accounting Manager Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
• CPA Licensed or CPA candidate preferred
• MBA or Master’s Degree in Accounting a plus
• Mix of Public and Private Accounting experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience as an accounting supervisor, manager or controller
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation (experience with Workday a plus)
• Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Complete timely and accurate journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reviews monthly
• Review reconciliations, reports, payables, and cash receipts prepared by department
• Distribute monthly/quarterly invoices as needed
• Provide detailed ad hoc reports for Leadership team
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to external parties and tax agencies
• Oversee junior staff, providing daily support and training
• Review all written process documentation and provide audit and tax support as needed
• Make decisions and effectively communicate needs to Leadership team
