The Opportunity:

The Accounting Manager is part of an energetic, friendly, and collaborative team that is working to transform our existing systems and processes to create a best-in-class Finance and Accounting organization. You will also be part of an organization that cares deeply about our people and will be hyper focused on your professional growth and development. You will report to the Controller and lead the month end close process through issuance of the financial statements. You will have the opportunity to execute the implementation of an ERP system and have influence over the design of internal controls and SOX compliance. As a technical accounting expert, you will provide guidance and be a key partner to the CFO, Operations, and HR through this role. As a hybrid position, work can be done remotely for 3-4 days a week while still being connected to colleagues in New Prague 1-2 days a week. Job Outcomes You Must Get:

• Cultivate a best-in-class accounting and finance team by developing direct reports through hands on coaching, a continuous improvement mentality, and the ability to embrace change
• Foster a collaborative work environment across the accounting and finance team
• Responsible for month end close process that provides accurate GAAP financial statements with proper disclosures and meets regulatory requirements
• Assist Controller in design and performance of internal controls over financial processes
• Promote a practice of continuous improvement and best practices
• Function as primary contact to external audit and tax teams, coordinate questions and logistics of services
• Research and write technical accounting memos, asses new accounting pronouncements for impact to the financial statements
• Provide oversight for the AP and Payroll cycles
• Effectively communicate with the appropriate level of detail at the executive/board of directors level
  
  

Job Outcomes Requirements:

• 4-7 years relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• CPA certification preferred
• Experience with SEC reporting requirements
• Prior public accounting experience, Big 4 preferred
• Working knowledge of COSO framework, internal controls over financial reporting, and SOX compliance
• Strong technical accounting skills and ability to execute on conclusions
• Experience working in medical device or manufacturing industry preferred
