Accounting and Finance Manager

Job Summary:

Volpi Foods is seeking an experienced and pro-active Accounting / Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting or finance, with significant experience in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Operations: Perform and supervise accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, pricing, master data, and treasury functions.

• Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, demand planning, financial reporting, and analysis.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor finance professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development.

• Systems Management: Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains for financial processes and reporting. Experience with Concur for travel and expense management is preferred. Familiar with treasury management systems and banking platforms.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

• Strategic Planning: Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making by providing detailed financial analysis and insights.

• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A Master’s degree and/or CPA certification is preferred.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least one year of managing a team is required. Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Concur is highly desirable.
