**Position Overview**
We are looking for an Accountant to join our rapidly growing company! As a member of the Texas Roadhouse Accounting Team, this position will be integral in ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for the company's financial statements. With strong attention to detail, effective time management, organizational and communication skills, you will be working closely and providing support across various aspects of the company's finance and operating functions.

**Position Overview**
We are looking for an Accountant to join our rapidly growing company! As a member of the Texas Roadhouse Accounting Team, this position will be integral in ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for the company's financial statements. With strong attention to detail, effective time management, organizational and communication skills, you will be working closely and providing support across various aspects of the company's finance and operating functions.
- Responsibilities**
- Prepare journal entries, including accruals and reclasses, for both P&L and balance sheet
- Complete monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
- Participate in and initiate fact-finding activities associated with reconciling items
- Prioritize day-to-day responsibilities to meet deadlines
- Analyze monthly consolidated income statement fluctuations
- Partner and communicate with Support Center departments on company initiatives
- Consistently apply innovative thinking to transform and automate internal processes
- Ability to stay organized in fast-paced, high-volume environment to ensure efficient processing
- Assist in pulling supporting documentation for quarterly and annual audit requests
- Complete special projects/tasks, both for field-facing initiatives and internal
**Staff Accounting**
- Review monthly P&L expenses allocated to store back-office systems
- Compile monthly store P&Ls, Communicate/Reconcile P&Ls with Managing Partners, resolving any additional questions relating to these store level financials
- Reconciliation and reporting for various large-scale TXRH internal events
- Involvement with annual G&A budgeting process and ongoing monthly review of budget vs actual for 200+ cost centers
- Print Marketing Support invoicing
- Prepare journal entries related to new store openings, project renovations, and miscellaneous CIP
- Maintain asset ledger accuracy by retiring disposed assets as appropriate
- Create assets in D365 to ensure proper coding, groups, lives, and depreciation methods
- Review of store level depreciation expense fluctuation
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations related to CIP and Asset cost accounts
- Actively track miscellaneous CIP, monitor for abandoned sites, and new cost centers
- Prepare weekly and monthly rent payment schedules
- Review all monthly statements from landlord and communicate directly with landlords to resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with the review and audit of common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations
- Provide detailed support to the field and Staff Accounting on questions related to rent, CAM, and straight-line rent
- Assist with the maintenance of the CoStar Real Estate portfolio for all accounting-related matters
- Responsible for set-up and paying the monthly base and percentage rents for our real estate lease agreements
- Calculate monthly bonuses for all field management
- Cross train across all payroll accounting activities
- Partner with other teams on various Payroll reconciliation opportunities to both develop and implement solutions and efficiencies
- Annual process narrative and disaster recovery review for accuracy

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; however, consideration will be given to other four-year degrees in similar area of study with minimum of 12 Accounting hours
- 2 years related accounting experience preferred
- Proficient with Excel and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft D365, PowerBI and Cadency Certification is a plus but not required.
