Do not take it personal when people say no. You must stay resilient to challenges you face in your career because you will always come across them and most of the time they make you stronger. Failure truly leads to success and allows you to build on what you already have, however make sure you have a solid foundation in which you are starting with. When people give you criticism in your career don't look at is as a personal attack; they're just trying to help the professional you become better and sometimes to do that uncomfortable conversations need to happen. The end justifies the means: as long as you have a goal set in mind, going through the mud is worth it regardless of how long it takes. Remember, Rome wasn't build in a day.
