“It was a great pleasure working with Tasneem at Intuit. Her knowledge in both iOS and Android platform is a great asset to the team. She was one of the main contributors to the mobile charting library, which is use by business units such as Mint and QuickBook. She was also responsible for many other mobile components that are used by various business units across Intuit. She was one of earliest wearable technology explorer in Intuit, and shared her experiences in Google glass and Android development both inside and outside of Intuit in many conferences and gatherings.”

You're a software developer working full time. How can you learn new skills without burning out?
An effective way to polish your learning and fuel your passion is by doing side projects or participating in open source projects. In many cases, you may not be able to work on every emerging technology you like in your day job. So side projects can be an effective way to stay abreast of emerging technologies.

How can you find the best MVVM learning resources for your skill level?
Let’s first understand what is really MVVM. Model–view–viewmodel (MVVM) is an architectural pattern in computer software that facilitates the separation of the development of the graphical user interface (GUI; the view)—be it via a markup language or GUI code—from the development of the business logic or back-end logic (the model) such that the view is not dependent upon any specific model platform. A couple of great resources for learning more about MVVM are listed below: 1. Martin Fowler (19 July 2004). "The Presentation Model Design Pattern". Martin Fowler.com. 2. Mastering Android MVVM Architecture: Developers’ Guide https://medium.com/@mutebibrian256/mastering-android-mvvm-architecture-developers-guide-3271e4c8908b

What are the best practices for building a scalable and modular architecture for your mobile app?
The most important design principle to follow in modular app development is separation of concerns. In computer science, separation of concerns is a design principle for separating a computer program into distinct sections. Each section addresses a separate concern, a set of information that affects the code of a computer program. A concern can be as general as "the details of the hardware for an application", or as specific as "the name of which class to instantiate". A program that embodies SoC well is called a modular[1] program. Modularity, and hence separation of concerns, is achieved by encapsulating information inside a section of code that has a well-defined interface.

How do you decide when to turn off a feature flag in a mobile app?
Before deciding on when to turn off a feature flag, it is important to understand and consider what is a feature flag. A Feature Flag is the ability in an application to turn a feature on and off. Feature Flags are often used by teams to control access to a new feature and for feature experimentation. Feature Flags are also used to reduce the risk of deploying software by disconnecting the deployment of the code from the enablement of the new feature.
