How to onboard a team member in the worst way possible I’ve worked in many companies in my short career as a software engineer, and one stood out as the worst onboarding experience. On the first day, you’re expected to watch a video of the CEO ‘welcoming’ you and talking about their culture, I was then given a windows laptop that barely worked and I had to submit tickets already to the IT team to fix it. So there I was in the first day just sitting at my desk waiting for IT to respond and with only a single interaction with my supervisor. One of the things I noticed with great companies, is that if there’s an individual joining a team, they get their entire team to interact with the new guy, as early as possible. It could be through team building activities, a clear induction, team lunch, anything that would get them to establish themselves as ‘friends’. Because believe it or not, the more your team likes and cares about each other, the more productive and enjoyable it becomes for them to work together.

Raimac is developing a programmable, flexible webshop payment solution that enables earmarking and adding attributes to payments, leading to a revenue increase of 10.5%. Raimac offers more options, no risk of overspending, no hidden fees, no impact on credit score, and an integrated returns and refund process. Unlike built-in crypto payment solutions, Raimac builds on traditional payment rails. This approach ensures high buyer acceptance and trust, no price volatility risk, and regulatory clarity. RAIMAC conducted a market research to improve the consumer experience 78% of participants expressed interest in programmable payments primarily due to the perceived benefits of automation and customization. Key perceived benefits include convenience (84%), enhanced security (72%), and the ability to set spending limits (62%). Customizable spending rules (68%), real-time transaction tracking (56%), and integration with budgeting tools (48%) emerged as the most desired features among potential users. The findings suggest a high probability of consumer adoption of programmable payments for enabling more options when buying goods or services online. While there is a considerable level of interest and willingness to try programmable payments, addressing concerns related to security, privacy, and educating consumers about the benefits and functionality of these payment methods will be crucial for widespread adoption. Online retailers can leverage this opportunity by offering programmable payment options with user-friendly interfaces and robust security measures to cater to evolving consumer preferences.
