  • Engineering Design Thinking and Communication Course

    Orbitec presented the project to the group to create lunar glass that would be sustainable on the moon. By incorporating an analysis of requirements and the work of last year's "Lunatech" team, the group succeeded in creating clear, hard glass out of materials found on the moon. The team also devised chemical processes and window designs for future development.

    The team developed an original research project, which involved testing the antioxidant content of black tea steeped at different temperatures. The team conducted the experiment and noted the final results. The conclusion was then presented in front of students and judges in a poster fair.

    The team collaborated to develop a medical simulator for doctors to practice inserting peripherally inserted central catheters on premature infants for the Feinberg School of Medicine. The final product was presented at the Segal Institute Design Expo and was supplemented by a final report of over 60 pages.
