Modelling and Validation of a 65 year old female for Impact Testing
Development of a 65-Year-old Female Finite Element Model:
Performed block meshing, using ANSYS ICEM, to produce a high quality hexahedral mesh of a 65-year–old Female model. Preliminary simulations for the validation have been performed using LS-Dyna as the solver. (Clients include: Toyota CSRC)

1. FMVSS 301 conducted on a Finite Element SUV model.
2.Design change focused on reduction in the mass of the vehicle with maintaining the fuel system integrity.
3.Rear Bumper design changed with effective decrease in the mass of the full vehicle.
4.Rear Bumper CAD model meshed and incorporated in the FE model.
5. Design analysed and compared with the existing model.
