Here's how you can effectively convey your value proposition as a consultant to potential clients.
You not only have to research the current market you also need to research market trends. Competitive research and gap analysis is equally important to be able to create a value proposition with differentiation, the ability to uniquely solve a customer's problem. 1:1 customer research is also critical. Make sure to ask open ended questions, and about their biggest challenges, not just those related to what your product solves for. When you can tie your solution to their biggest challenge you can move from being a nice to have to a must have. Intimate knowledge of customers and competitors, married with knowledge of future market trends, will place your value proposition in a formidable place.
