How can you develop your leadership skills without being in a management role?
Love this. Leadership skills are easy to develop, no matter your title. A few ideas that have worked for me: Training Programs: Everyone is an expert in something. Organize what you know into a course. I created a brand storytelling training and refined it with coworkers, then was asked to train the company. Mentorship Programs: Everyone needs a mentor. Start with what's relevant to your expertise like your state small business development center or startup orgs like the Naturally Network or Startup CPG. Academic Engagement: Make friends with your local school. I reconnected with my undergrad alma mater, the CU - Boulder to act as guest speaker, pitch slam judge and adjunct professor for starryeyed students. #StayStarryEyed

After watching Sir Ken Robinson’s most-watched Ted Talk and best-selling books exploring whether schools kill creativity, the two women put their heads and their decades’ worth of experience together to see what they could do to solve the problem. They came to the belief that part of what’s causing the creativity crisis is old thinking in what kids eat and drink.
