Well, as you can tell, I'm not at my normal desk today. I'm recording this from the Kansas City Developer Conference [KCDC] in beautiful downtown Kansas City, where we just had some lunch. Unfortunately, I think I might have eaten the last of it, but there have been two sessions so far that I wanted to highlight. Lwin Maung and Min Maung from, I believe outside Chicago, talked about AI data privacy. They went into specific examples of what are some of the ways that you can go wrong? What are some of the ways that you can prevent yourself from going wrong. And they also gave some really good examples of how some of these open source libraries do it. And they actually showed me a few things that I didn't know about vector databases. Veronika Kolesnikova from Boston then showed how to use the Azure content studio, which is what you use to be able to set harm, self harm, hate speech. A lot of different variables in terms of what can come in as well as what goes out of your regenerative AI systems. Funny enough, I actually knew Veronika from an Azure Boston podcast from back in November of last year. (shout out to Jason Haley and the rest of the Azure Boston team) Like what a small world it is sometimes. I got a session coming up here in a few hours. I'm gonna let you go, but. Federal Money given to Flint Michigan in response to Flint Water Crisis: $100 Million. ($400 Million came from the state). Mind you, these are American Citizens, who were lead to death, pun intended. Complete incompetence AT BEST from local governments. Federal Money given to Ukraine since February 2022. $44 billion, including an additional $60 Billion provided by the National Security Act. Isn't it funny how we value something that keeps us alive so little (Water)? What is the true cost of a Rocket? What is the true cost of Fear? If everyone had adequate drinking water and food, my hypothesis is that you wouldn't need as many rockets. I think giving everyone food and water might even be cheaper but I haven't done the math. In order for this to happen, Fear has to die. We promote and invest in War more than Clean water and healthy food for our citizens. We need leaders who serve the people. The people are not being served, and this should not garner your respect.
