Poverty Alleviation
I worked in a cafeteria and was responsible for serving drinks (e.g., water, milk, and coffee) to the entire cafeteria. I was also responsible for helping those that were disabled retrieve their food. I enjoy volunteering because I am able to take a step back and realize how fortunate that I am relative to those who visit the soup kitchen. I also enjoy the interaction at the meal center because I get to view life in a different light. From visiting the soup kitchen, I have learned that life is…

I felt honored to call and congratulate students on their acceptance and I also asked them if they had any questions about Marquette (e.g., social life, academics, sports, etc.) This experience made me feel valued as a Marquette undergraduate student as I voiced my perspective about Marquette University…

During the latter part of January, I was able to speak to prospective College of Business students that were interested in attending Marquette University in the Fall of 2015. Myself, along with another College of Business Administration student, had everyone in the room introduce themselves and their potential course of study. Once they finished, myself and the other student spoke about our experiences at Marquette and answered any questions that prospective students might have had during the…

This year, I-MIX was sponsored by Google. Meredith Trotta, Michael Becker, Professor John Deighton, Christina Lin and a host of other professionals in the marketing industry provided us with valuable information about marketing, advertising, and keys to becoming a more qualified professional. These presentations gave me better understanding of both strategic concepts and practical applications. After completing this program, I left feeling more prepared for my internship this summer at Aurora Health Care.
