Thankful for the bountiful opportunity to learn, get inspired, and be a part of the OnBoarding Women community. Our collective business acumen, humanitarian hearts, and passion to empower and enable all through our areas of expertise was grounding. According to Deloitte’s “Women in the Boardroom: A Global Perspective” report, women hold only 23.3% of board seats globally, with even less representation as board chairs and CEOs. However, diverse boards perform better financially and have a competitive advantage. They also better represent the interests of various stakeholders, including employees, customers, and investors. This is why government initiatives such as quotas and disclosures matter. Countries with such initiatives have higher female board representation, with France leading the way. Cheers to all women leaders that are bold, daring, influential, and making a visionary statement at every table they are at. Our purpose is driving human progress. This is the time of year where we show we mean it - through both our performance thus far and where we have much more work to do in our annual #ESGreport. I’ve always been a fan (some might say a straight up nerd) when it comes to #ESGdisclosures and #sustainabilityreporting because this is where accountability happens but also where strategy happens as we pause, celebrate, shift, evaluate where to go next. An exercise often under-recognized for the impact it has when corporations take the time to do this. So this is where we are, and where we’re going. As a business leader and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s affirming that we continue to make strides and progress towards a more inclusive, representative and rewarding workplace experience. However this is a journey, one filled with many visible and invisible roadblocks. These roadblocks may not be visible to those who don’t identify, and they have real tangible impact on belonging, mobility and representation at work. Inclusion and representation of LGBTQ+ professionals should never be a symbolic gesture for any company, it must be real and built into a workplace culture that champions true diversity and inclusion at every level. Actions that create an honest and truthful culture of allyship, one that embolden the unique abilities, skills, and experience of LGBTQ+ people and their colleagues. While the work has lived with LGBTQ+ professionals and their allies to create safe spaces of belonging at work, companies can and should be the primary champion for inclusion and allyship. In any environment, the need to code-switch distracts from the possibility of doing your best work and fully representing your talents. Let’s leverage Pride Month as a moment that yields actions and behaviors that result in  authentic  cultures of belonging, allyship and inclusivity.. "We began the year with solid revenue and free cash flow growth, reflecting the strength of our hybrid cloud and AI strategy. We continue to capitalize on the excitement and demand for enterprise #AI from our clients. Our book of business for #watsonx and #generativeAI again showed strong momentum, growing quarter over quarter, and has now eclipsed one billion dollars since we launched watsonx in mid-2023. As a result, for the full year, we continue to expect revenue performance in line with our mid-single digit model and about $12 billion in free cash flow," said Arvind Krishna, IBM chairman and chief executive officer. "To strengthen our position in today's hybrid cloud and AI-driven technology landscape, we also announced our intent to acquire HashiCorp. Nicely articulated article. It happens with most of us but managing to cope with one's own past proven experiences comes to foreplay. Agility, learning to live with confidence, let go the ego, makes one all the more stronger and pursuit of excellence at par!
