Program manager for the Neuromorphic Sensing program at imec, which aims to develop technologies for autonomous robotics. Our focus is on the intersection between advanced sensor development and neuromorphic compute architectures. We blend a top-down application driven approach with a bottom-up technology approach, with algorithmic innovations forming the interface between the two. In terms of sensor technology, we focus on mmWave radar (140 GHz), LiDAR and event-based cameras. On the neuromorphic compute side, we do hardware/software co-development for hybrid CNN/SNN solutions. In a nutshell, our goal is to enable safe and intimate co-existence between humans and autonomous robots.
