“I would work with Hiram any time. He has a deep pool of knowledge from years of experience in many different functions. He does not pretend to know everything. He solicites feeback from his team members and gives them the opportunity to bring their experience to the table. While encouraging open discussion he will not let that derail a tight time line and will make executive decisisons when necessary. I found my experience working with Hiram very educational and rewarding. I think Hiram would be a good addition to any team especially in a leadership capacity. He leads by example, and gets to work along side everyone else.”

Screw It, Lets Do it by Richard Branson an English Business Magnate A very short and excellent weekend read, full of the author’s life lessons. He is focusing mentioning his life lessons and how he sailed through life and made it big. It was never easy but it always looked like he was lucky. While he did not leave any stone unturned to execute his idea, his family having FIRM Belief in him made him Get Going. It feels extremely happy when you can reflect so many values with a Business Magnet 😉 (My reflection at the end) 1. JUST DO IT! Have Goals– as early as a 9-year-old. The goals can be as small as possble Prepare Well– brainstorm and start Believing It Can Be Done- Be “Dr YES” Have Faith in Yourself– Don’t let the silly rules or limiting beliefs stop you ever Help Each Other- create an ecosystem. 2. HAVE FUN Have Fun, Work Hard and Money Will Come even if your goal is not to earn money. Have a Positive Outlook On Life- Focus on good things Most importantly When it's Not Fun, Move On 'Live life to the full. Enjoy every minute. Everyone has diff definition of fun, Find your own. 3. BE BOLD Calculate the Risks and Take Them Do not play blind ever as that is uncontrollable. Most importantly- Keep Your Word 4. CHALLENGE YOURSELF Aim high Try New Things - come out of your comfort zone Always Try- Never Give Up Challenge Yourself - 5. STAND ON YOUR OWN FEET Rely on Yourself Chase your Dreams but Live in the Real World. Work Together- create an ecosystem. As a system lasts longer than an individual 6. LIVE THE MOMENT Love Life and Live It To The Full Enjoy the Moment Reflect on your Life Make Every Second Count towards your goal Don't Have Regrets 7. VALUE FAMILY AND FRIENDS Put the Family, Team and People First - A dispute with a friend or a colleague can be sorted in a friendly way. Be Loyal Face Problems Head On – don’t put it under the rug Money is for Making Things Happen and it might not be the Sole goal Pick the Right People and Reward Talent Always 8. HAVE RESPECT Be Polite and Respectful – no matter what is the financial status the person Do the Right Thing – even if it costs something Keep Your Good Name Be Fair in All Your Dealings 9. DO SOME GOOD Change the World, even if in a Small Way - have some purpose in life. Make a Difference and Help Others Do No Harm no matter how beneficial it seems Always Think What You Can Do To Help My reflection: As a mother of an 11-year-old, I also have never said that it is impossible, or you “Can’t” do it. “Of course, You can do it if you try” 😊 (Before I mentioned it here, I confirmed with him, and he NODDED with a hug and smile.) I am also happy with my life purpose: To help as many people as possible achieve their life goals by empowering them through their rock-solid mental health. When I look back, I have a good number of people to mention who dared to sign up for self-work, empower themselves and move on to their life goals. Their sweet note on the phone makes my day.

I recently finished reading Bob Sutton and "Huggy" Hayagreeva Rao's book "The Friction Project: How Smart Leaders Make the Right Things Easier and the Wrong Things Harder." It gave me a broader perspective on some of the challenges IT organizations regularly face, and more specifically how it can apply to Enterprise Architecture. I was reminded of a conversation I had with a CIO a few years ago about how the organization had wound up with so many point-to-point integrations. Projects are usually optimized for the project instead of the enterprise. The project structure encourages building point-to-point integrations between systems, since it is looking at integration from a project perspective. At the time I viewed this as purely an economics problem, around how projects were funded, and the relative ease of using files for batch integration. If we wanted teams to start building better integrations with less coupling between applications, we needed to make it easier for them to build decoupled integrations using APIs and enterprise messages. After documenting our integration patterns and delivering sample code in multiple languages and platforms, we finally saw the organization shift and start to improve the integration styles we were using. It had become as easy to do the right things. After reading this book, I now look at this as a friction problem. For our integration problems, we could also have made the wrong things harder. If we had created gates or speed bumps to reduce moving flat files, and tightly coupling applications we could have accelerated the transition. There is an opportunity here for Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to not only make the right things easy, but to make the wrong things hard. The authors talk about the role of Friction Fixers in organizations to help people navigate the organization to get things done. Friction Fixers also act as custodians of people's time. This is another role for Enterprise Architects. Make sure the right people are talking to each other in an organization to get things done. Don't design business processes that waste people's time. This book has lots of ideas for architects to carry into process improvement and business transformation efforts. The authors have packed a ton of case studies into this book and discuss not only general ways to improve processes (time-wasting memos, jargon, etc), but lots of IT related topics including #agile, #holocracy, and #lean. If you want to hear the bite-sized version of the topics in the book (which hooked me), then check out the Hidden Brain Innovation 2.0 interview with Bob Sutton at https://lnkd.in/gU2VcVAQ #friction #enterprisearchitecture #integration #transformation

It's better than printing press, steam engine and even Internet. While I don't see sliced bread in there, you must have guessed it. AI. But, can you guess who said it? Hyperscalers? LLM Developers? SaaS providers? Academia? It's Jamie Dimon, the CEO of the world's largest bank, not its CIO/CTO/CAiO! And how do they move forward? #AI #ItStartsWithEnablement https://lnkd.in/d35z3rHE

The best data dashboards provide huge insights and compel us to make better business decisions. However, this brilliant dashboard is about our LIVES and it shows you how TIME IS PRECIOUS! Some folks say "time is money" but it is actually priceless. You can never make it back. We need to spend it wisely. We have to prioritize quality time with our loved ones. We need to spend time where we grow and improve. Those are the moments that will matter the most when our finite time is up. #Legacy

**Was it too hard for her? Was she scared? Was she encouraged enough to climb further? She did this before; but not this time. Does it mean she is not capable of doing? Don’t judge every action; time and situation make a difference in outcomes, and it’s all okay.** It's true that we often jump to conclusions based on a single instance or action, but life is more nuanced than that. Sometimes, external factors or personal circumstances can significantly impact our abilities and choices. Instead of rushing to judgment, let's consider the broader context and recognize that growth and change are part of the human experience. 🌟

https://lnkd.in/gK6WajBi Here is my concern, this company might adhere to ethical constraints and try to make sure it's model can't be used to lie about it being human, but if you have the ability to pre-prompt their model, as Wired has shown you can force it to lie. All LLM models have been shown to be subject to eventual jailbreaks as well. The other concern is that while this company may be "good" - bad actors including hostile nation-states are certainly going to leverage these models paired with the latest in deepfake technology tech and it's going to be a field day. Provable high-assurance identity and proof of life is going to be super critical in the next 5 years, for consumers and for business.

🌟 Embracing Positivity and Empathy: Lessons from “Water Has Memory! Dr. Masaru Emoto's Water Experiment!”🌟 Just watched an incredibly inspiring video that reminded me of the profound impact positivity and empathy can have on our lives and the lives of those around us. One quote that really resonated with me is: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind." It's a powerful reminder that no matter what challenges we face or how busy life gets, kindness is always within our reach. 💡 Here are a few key takeaways from the video: 1️⃣ **Positivity Breeds Positivity:** When we approach life with a positive mindset, we not only uplift ourselves but also inspire others to do the same. A simple smile or words of encouragement can make a world of difference to someone who may be going through a tough time. 2️⃣ **Empathy Builds Connections:** Empathy is the cornerstone of meaningful relationships. By taking the time to understand and empathize with others, we foster a sense of connection and belonging that is essential for personal and professional growth. 3️⃣ **Small Acts, Big Impact:** Kindness doesn't have to be grand gestures; it's often the little things that matter most. Whether it's holding the door open for someone, offering a listening ear, or simply saying thank you, every act of kindness has the power to create positive change. Let's make a commitment to cultivate positivity and empathy in our daily lives, both online and offline. Together, we can create a world where kindness is the norm and compassion reigns supreme. 💫 #Positivity #Empathy #Kindness #Inspiration #MakeADifference

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a heartfelt letter and a thoughtful gift from Auguste Goldman in recognition of achieving our ambitious operational efficiency goal for 2024 well ahead of schedule! Our operational efficiency journey began with a strategic lift and shift migration from on-prem to AWS cloud. Building on last year's success, we set a higher target for 2024. Despite concerns that our new goal was overly ambitious, I was confident in our team’s ability to surpass it. Thanks to a series of strategic improvements and unwavering dedication, we've made it happen as of early May. This accomplishment speaks volumes about our team's hard work and the power of collaboration across all levels of the organization. A huge thank you to everyone in the Data & Analytics (DnA) organization at GoDaddy who played a role, both directly and indirectly, in reaching this milestone. Your commitment and teamwork are truly inspiring. While it’s challenging to list all contributors, I especially want to acknowledge a few key players and leaders (on behalf of their teams) who made significant impacts: Manish Agarwal, John Bush, Dinesh Sharma, Brandon Abear, Ashish Aggarwal, Sudhakar Krishnamurthi, Mayur Patel, Ashish Pokharel, Vishal K Singh, Rajat Gupta, Anand Krishniyer, David Kellogg, and Jing Xi. Special thanks to Travis Muhlestein, Abhijit Kundu, Vincent Y., and Padam Jeet Singh for their support. Edit: By the way, we're hiring! 😉 Keep an eye out for open positions. #godaddy #godaddyengineering #platformengineering #dataplatform #bigdata #ai #aws #frugalarchitect

Friends, automation is a HUGE driving force in human life, and is getting bigger. It’s not what you think. It’s more. Lets examine it in simple Venn diagrams. What is the relationship between software and automation? What is organic automation vs. external automation? And let’s see how AI fits into that. Then a slight detour into where automation and transformation intersect.
