Our areas of focus include: leadership and empowerment, economic security, violence prevention/anti-human trafficking, and health/reproductive…How Women Give is a platform for women to give together! We provide grants, visibility and volunteerism to organizations solving critical community problems impacting women and girls in marginalized bay area communities.
We believe that women and girls deserve equal opportunities and together we are committed to their justice and equality.
Our areas of focus include: leadership and empowerment, economic security, violence prevention/anti-human trafficking, and health/reproductive justice. To date we have provided $230,000 in grants to women and girls organizations in the last two years. -

Our schools, programs and partnerships provide innovative opportunities and supports that help children and youth succeed and ultimately become contributing adults.
Alternatives in Action’s 20th Anniversary Committee raised the funds…Alternatives in Action is a non-profit which inspires over 1,300 Bay Area youth each year to realize their leadership potential and prepares them for college, career and community life through dynamic educational, skill-building and real world experiences. Our schools, programs and partnerships provide innovative opportunities and supports that help children and youth succeed and ultimately become contributing adults.
Alternatives in Action’s 20th Anniversary Committee raised the funds for the organization to meet its goal of building a Teen Tech Center in West Oakland and an Early Childhood Learning Center in East Oakland -- each a critical resource for Oakland youth and their families. -
