“November 2019 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this recommendation letter for Mr. Gary Mejia to express to you his talents, dedication, and commitment to our organization. Gary began his career with Bilfinger Westcon in January of 2017. Based upon his ornate abilities and skillset, he was chosen to manage the Anadarko Latham Gas Plant project in Platteville Colorado. Bilfinger Westcon is an Industrial Contractor that specializes in Boiler making, Welding, Pipefitting, Ironwork, Civil, and Millwright crafts. Gary rapidly exceeded expectations in regard to his training expertise, attention to detail, and willingness to go out of his way to assist others. He strategically built a well-rounded and robust team of 19 Safety professionals for the project based upon his past influences and networking skills. Using these influences, he was able to institute a concrete Safety culture on site that was 2nd to none. Gary onboarded over 1,000 Bilfinger Westcon employees and subcontractors on the Latham Gas project alone and executed over 1,400,000 safe hours worked without a recordable or lost time injury. This was a monumental feat given the amount of high-risk work and environmental concerns. Gary was a vital piece to the successful completion of this project on a daily basis, and any absence would have had catastrophic consequences for not only the project, but for Bilfinger Westcon’s reputation in general. Gary is not the type of person who must be micromanaged. He can be assigned a task and you know that he will complete it without delay or follow-up. Gary is humble, kind, and always puts others first. He is a people person and has the ability to work with anyone. Cooperation comes naturally for Gary, and I never learned of anyone on the jobsite complaining about him. He also exudes impeccable attendance, a great work ethic, and always maintained a positive attitude. Gary was always smiling. He will fast-track into a Executive Leadership role in a short amount of time, I have no doubt. In closing, I will add that Gary is the type of individual that will never mislead you as he is as honest a man I have ever met. He is always doing research to find new and creative ways for learning and teaching. He has the ability to develop Safety professionals into great leaders with his mentoring style.
