Deputy Project Manager & Roadway EOR: This project provided design to improve safety conditions for pedestrians along 2nd Ave N by installing mid-block crosswalks with ADA-compliant concrete curb ramps and pedestrian hybrid beacons. PGA was the prime consultant leading the signals, lighting, signing and marking, roadway, and structures efforts. The scope of work involved extensive concrete pavement repairs at the Reading Interchange on either side of the existing toll plaza, bituminous resurfacing of ramps, areas of reconstruction east of the toll plaza, slope erosion mitigation, guide sign design and replacement on- and off-site, inlet repairs, bridge deck patching, and guardrail upgrades.

Attended weekly meetings with construction and engineering inspector and contractor personnel regarding post-design and revision needs. Performed and coordinated post-design tasks within tight schedule constraints. Prepared alternative design solutions for guardrail and pipe conflicts. Determined grades and elevations every 20 feet along each of the two dozen MSE retaining walls for verification purposes and to assist the contractor.
