You're working with a mentor to grow your business. How can you make the most of your time together?
Purpose of Meetings: Think of each meeting as a mini-board meeting about you and your business. Before the Meeting: Prep an agenda and send ahead of time; there could be items that require more thought than during the allotted time. During the Meeting: Give brief updates, but try to focus on one or two items deeply. Covering too many topics will simply run out of time. Also try to drive some personal details, the goal is building a long term relationship. After the Meeting: Make sure there are some follow up items to create a continuum as well as email updates in between your next meeting. Iterate this process with you and your mentor and drive a strong relationship that will endure.
