How do you coordinate with stakeholders to recruit top talent?
Often stakeholders are not aware of who/what position they need to hire, but they always know what outcome they are looking for with the hire. I start with the outcome, and help determine what skills and level of experience are needed to achieve this outcome. I then define the general job title of a candidate who can provide those skills and level of experience AND the corresponding compensation range. I will then recommend that the stakeholders meet a variety of candidates, with varying salary expectations, who can achieve the expected outcome. I recommend that these candidates should address the outcome from different angles. The interview process generally takes care of itself and the stakeholders generally come to consensus.

How can recruiters use problem solving skills to improve their social media presence?
Good recruiters generally stand out from the pack with both written and verbal communication skills, as well as the innate ability to hear (not just listen) to what a candidate is looking for in a role and what a client is looking for in a candidate. A good recruiter looses sleep and is often distracted trying to solve the problem of the ideal match for both their clients and candidates. When done correctly, recruiting is a constant problem solving exercise. When a good recruiter approaches social media, they do so with the intent to provide value, entertain and share personality. Most importantly, most posts should offer an expert opinion or view on a topic that will help others potentially solve a problem.

What are the best virtual interview practices for recruiters?
I highly recommend that my 4 and 5-day in office clients begin their process with a virtual interview, even though they are often compelled to start with in-person. We are often able to expand the candidate pool by offering a low-commitment method to explore the opportunity and potential culture fit. Once the candidate feels a positive human connection, they are more likely to consider the position. If the candidate has a defined reason as to why they NEED to work from home, this step will not help. But this virtual ice-breaker helps significantly for those who just have the preference to work from home. It's surprising how many will change their search parameters after a good video connection.

How can you screen resumes for niche industries?
My firm is one of a few in the region who recruit for Ultra High Net Worth Family Offices. It's a challenging niche because UHNW Families have high expectations and many in the industry can not openly state that they work for a Family Office due to NDA agreements. Additionally, many who enter the Family Office world have never worked in it specifically in the past. We have identified several complimentary industries that prepare candidates for the Family Office world and we recruit from those. With a smaller pool of candidates in a niche market, a great recruiter can enlarge the pool by finding complimentary experiences that are relevant. You must actively recruit niche candidates...depending on ad responses will not work!
