    Wiki Where? earned an Apple Watch prize at the NYC hackathon that kicked off the Yahoo Mobile Developer Conference. It allows you to search Wikipedia by location instead of by name and shows the results on a smartwatch. This app is now available on the Play Store.

    Spent a weekend working with a team to develop a tech-based solution that can help people with multiple sclerosis (MS) better manage their stress. Biogen Idec is after innovative approaches that can help teach and enable people living with MS in the following areas:

    Relaxation skills (eg, meditation and visualization)
    Problem-solving techniques (eg, information processing and understanding sources of stress)
    Prioritization tools (eg, planning and managing tasks)

    Our team created a mobile app that provided real-time feedback in a glanceable display to reflect the time a person spends each day meditating and moving (pedometer), along with journaling and weather warning functions.

  • Boston Google Developer Group Android Wear hackathon organizer

    Wear Hackathon on Sat. Jan 10 sponsored by Google, Motorola and Samsung. Google engineers on the Wear team along with teaching assistants like me were there to help with a code contest. Participants were developers proficient in Android programming. Phones and watches were prizes.

  • Google Glass Pioneer

    -

    Participated in the premiere of the Glass wearable computer in Google's San Francisco office. The event was invite-only and brought together developers from around the country to create apps for newly invented Android hardware.
