This is a house I built in Palm Springs! I did it when I was 22yo! Thinking I had a bright future in building homes for families when it all came crashing down on me. I built 14 years of a career designing and building custom homes! Then I lost everything in 2008 Housing Crash and had to rebuild my life from Poverty. Now after many other career turns, as a web developer, marketing advertiser agency, a painter, a photographer and a filmmaker, now I’m turning my talents and attention to #AI. With a double BA in Computer Science and Visual Arts I understand what the future will bring. And I’m pioneering new use cases for AI every day. I think we need to move toward and lean into LESS compute not more compute and not more immersion. Medical science has proven the negative and damaging impact of computers in our lives that have caused immeasurable harm to our children and society at large. Therefore, as someone who has always BUILT things, I argue we need to move and lean into AI as a blessing and not a curse. But we need to do so with our eye on human-less compute so we can focus on our social-emotional relationships. We need to focus on safeguarding people from a potential overthrow of our species by machines, and we need to wake up and pay attention and make some noise to those sleeping on this breakthrough of AI as mere fad. AI is revolutionary. Regarding the displacement of the workforce, as someone who was knocked down from Millionaire down to Welfare and back up again, we need to stop being so apathetic and lazy and push ourselves to growth. No pain no gain right? Those that don’t have that in them, should be taken care of by our government, and if taxes are raised we as a society should embrace it. As patriots of the USA I grew up on a “Together We Win” mentality. I think right now with everything going on in our society we need to find commonality in our unity not sow more petty divisions! This is the force that our leadership sorely misses… I, for one, will vehemently champion and vocalize our need for this unity as human beings face the largest existential crisis and workforce reshuffling and displacement in human history. This week, we were on site at Fulcrum Acoustic conducting two brand strategy workshops with their leadership! Fulcrum Acoustic hired Munq to help them solve some large challenges. The company has grown tremendously in size, scope, scale and people over the last couple years. Leading this growth is the acquisition of an immersive audio company, now renamed Fulcrum Immersive. To add onto it, they are also expanding into international markets as well as interfacing with a younger audience entering the audio space. Some fundamental questions we are answering with our work: - What is the new architecture of our brand after the acquisition? - How do we message our brand to unify our suite of product offerings and applications? - How do we want to be perceived as we enter new markets and meet new faces? - How do we surface and amplify our unique, brand personality? - Why do we do what we do and how can we share that? All our workshops are informed and backed up by hours and hours of brand research, interviews and surveys. These sessions are crucial to help facilitate discussion and come to some final decisions where they want the brand to head. This entire process is done-with-you. It requires a lot collaboration. Justin Matsen says it best: A brand strategy program should not include surprises - we work alongside our clients the entire time. When we produce our strategy, it's more of a "that's right" versus a "Ta -Da!" The best thing about brand strategy work is how well we get to know our clients because of it. It truly sets us up to be long-term, creative partners. From here we will be developing our brand strategy roadmap and the following marketing executions that will take place after. LOOKING GLASS LAUNCHES NEW 3D DISPLAYS TechCrunch Looking Glass makes trippy-looking mixed-reality screens that make things look 3D without the need of special glasses. Today, it launches a pair of new displays, including a 16-inch mode that runs $4,000. There’s also a 32-inch display, with a ‘if you have to ask how much it costs you can’t afford it’ price tag. The displays are available in both landscape and portrait orientations, providing greater flexibility to suit diverse content formats and applications. The previous 15-inch model cost $6,000, so at least we’re seeing the prices come down a bit. The company also launched a $350 holographic digital photo frame a few years ago, along with software so you can make your holiday snaps leap out of the screen. The innovative displays provide stunning group 3D visualization without needing headsets, which means that professionals interacting with 3D content can beaver away without the inconvenience and fatigue associated with wearing additional hardware. The company says its products are designed for cutting-edge visualization, catering to design, engineering, education, research, and healthcare professionals. The new displays join the recently announced Looking Glass Go, completing the company’s portfolio of spatial offerings. While the Looking Glass Go transforms 2D photos into 3D memories, the larger formats are tailored to the needs of XR developers and professionals. The other advantage of using these displays is that the content can be viewed by groups, which is particularly helpful in collaborative contexts. The company says up to 100 different people can experience the content at the same time. The displays can show a wide range of media, including holographic images, high-quality videos, and real-time applications, and feature gesture-based controls, further enhancing immersive experiences without needing to paw at the computer screen. Looking Glass offers several options for content creation, including plugins for Unity, Unreal, Blender, and WebXR. I can’t believe the Marketing and Advertisimg communities aren’t making a bigger deal about what Samsung just pulled off. It’s brilliant, and kind of amazing. Within days of all the backlash from the Apple “Crushed” ad, Samsung concepted its own response ad, got all the necessary internal approvals, produced it, and got it on air. In less than a week!! Speed is an underrated skill, yet it is increasingly vital for brands seeking clever ways to remain relevant. I don’t know many organizations who can love this quickly. If yours can’t, it’s worth discussing why not and challenging some of the operational norms that prevent you from capitalizing on opportunities like this. https://lnkd.in/ge9Yms9n

#Lightovation is North America's largest residential lighting tradeshow. It is held 2x a year at #DallasMarketCenter and is a *not to be missed* tradeshow for all designers and retailers who sell lighting. Next week, my company's project: the #MetaverseLightingTrendhouse installation will be live for all attendees to experience. I am so looking forward to welcoming all attendees and exhibitors to experience this 3D immersive installation which is the first in the world to have been built in the metaverse of Spatial, and which also includes AI, AR, VR and 3D model download capabilities.
