It was great joining BBC News to discuss the impact that the Baltimore bridge collapse has had on the U.S. supply chain. Ultimately, we’ve seen a rapid response by the entire transportation ecosystem, minimizing disruptions.
Many thanks to Harrison Crabtree for joining us on BBC News international to explain the impact of the delay to the reopening of Baltimore Port. Plans to reopen the Port of Baltimore following the crash of a container ship into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in March, has been delayed until the middle of June. The return of ships to the port would be a major win for local businesses in the Baltimore area, but the port is also the 15th largest container port in the US so any delays will have an wider impact on shipping and transportation. Many thanks to Annie Scranton as always for organising.
