🙏 Appreciate this #conversation around #DEI with Doseke Akporiaye from Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) and Zoe Berkery from CleanCapital. Enjoyed hearing the analogy to #safety in the industry and the need to get #granular on #implementation.

I’m sitting down with Carrie Zalewski today. We’re discussing women in STEM and how they succeed. We know the impact of Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) on the economy. If you’re working in a STEM field, you have the opportunity to possibly earn two-thirds more than someone who works in a different field. However, women only comprise 34% of the STEM workforce. Carrie Zalewski, Vice President of Transmission and Electricity Markets for the American Clean Power Association (ACP), holds a B.S. degree in engineering AND a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, has something to say about that. She is an advocate for women in STEM and renewables. I’m excited for the opportunity to discuss her journey and passion on today’s Women Lead TV episode. We will discuss and shed light on gender dynamics, the perception that girls are not good at math, and what it takes to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated field. Carrie is an inspiring role model for women of all ages. She’s had a dynamic journey throughout her career. I can’t wait to explore her experiences, challenges, and triumphs in breaking barriers and navigating the corporate and institutional landscape. Tune in live on Women Lead TV today, Monday, July 15th, at 11:00 am PST: https://lnkd.in/dPHg6_nk. Please join us. What would you like us to discuss today? Do you have a story to share about your journey?
