  • Congratulations to our inspiring News Director Andrea Stahlman! Today she was recognized with a Seven Seals Award. The ESGR reflects Andrea’s support for Producer and Service Member Tabitha’s Awoniyi during the two times she was deployed within her first year of employment at WLKY. We are so proud of Andrea and her leadership, as well as Tabitha and her service to our country. Thank you both for being part of what fuels a fantastic culture at WLKY.

  • 🌟WLKY is always so excited to be the official broadcast partner of the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini Marathon & Marathon! This is one of favorite coverage events every year! While it’s one of the most complicated broadcasts, it is so much FUN being out in the community celebrating and supporting all the runners! 💫 Shout out to all our awesome WLKY employees who are part of this production, for their hard work, team work & excitement about this event! 👏🏻 And a huge thank you to Jeff Dengate from Hearst’s Runner’s World for joining us this year! #WLKY #KYDerbyFestival #KDF #Hearst

  • 🏀March Madness at WLKY means it’s time for our Annual Chili Cook-Off! 🏀 For 17 years now, on the first day of the NCAA Tournament, employees wear their favorite college or team colors and eat chili! Several employees also compete for Chili Cook-Off bragging rights. This year there was a tie for first place: Taylor Glenn (Sales) and Tracie Hotopp (News). Employees also vote for Fan Favorite, which went to Ryan Ruff (Sales) this year. Thanks to our panel of dedicated judges, and to all of our WLKY employees who are working hard during this busy time of year! 🏀

  • Just a quick shout out to all WLKY employees responsible for gathering, reporting and producing the news. Our News operation is supported by so many hard-working, dedicated, talented teammates. It's much more than just who you see on the news. Recently our News Department held its annual Celebration/Kickoff meeting to talk about accomplishments and goals, as well as recognize some outstanding employees. But we also celebrate everyone in the building who supports newscast production each day - it's truly a team effort! Congratulations and THANKS for dedicating so much time and effort to serving our community, and helping make WLKY a great place to work!

  • In 2023, we were honored to serve our community with important storytelling, and live coverage of critical events, weather, and sports.   We were proud to work with local businesses fueling our economy, and partner with local agencies making a difference all across Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana.   We couldn't do it without our team of incredible employees, and we are thankful to our viewers who welcome us into their homes each day.   In 2024, we look forward to another year of serving the community we love. #localbroadcaster #Hearst #WLKY
