As a private, not-for-profit community mental health center, we strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment that helps people flourish. Our work focuses on the strengths and well-being of the people we serve. Last year, we provided treatment, prevention, outreach and crisis services to more than 70,000 children, families and adults in Denver. WellPower has been recognized as one of the Denver Post’s Top Workplaces for the past ten years. After careful consideration and extensive due diligence over the past several months, last night the WellPower Board voted not to move forward with the merger with Jefferson Center for Mental Health at this time. In particular, the challenges with addressing significant funding changes and the work required to merge under these circumstances have made the merger a riskier proposition.
