Thank you WMDA for giving us the opportunity to sponsor this important meeting. We were privileged that our Chief Medical Officer, Eyal Attar, MD, was able to present about our novel approach to treating blood cancers and the important role stem cell donors play in our clinical trials.
Later today, at the Century City Conference Centre, the 14th International Donor Registry Conference and WMDA Meeting will begin. Our focus is on making all patients and donors matter, and we thank all 315 attendees for their attendance and dedication to striving for a world where access to life-saving cellular therapies for all patients is assured and donors’ rights and safety are protected. To quote Nelson Mandela, we also strongly believe that Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Though as a non-profit, we can't do it without all of you! We're incredibly grateful to all WMDA members and our partners for making change possible. At #VorBio we understand that it takes more than just one #Juneteenth commemoration day to break the pattern of continued inequality and injustice for African Americans. In our latest DEIB Book Club meeting, we discussed “Caste: The Origins of our Discontents” by Isabel Wilkerson. #Voracians explored the history of the American caste system, the effects of casteism in today’s society, and how we can take steps to dismantle this system.
